Amoda Tea January Tasting Box: Pistachio Ice Cream
Welcome back! In today’s episode we will be exploring a Canadian company called Amoda Tea. Based in beautiful British Columbia, this Vancouver business is amazing! In today’s episode I’ll review Pistachio Ice Cream from Butiki Teas. I’m glad you have tuned into episode 67 of Erin’s tea, please tell your friends about Erin’s Tea so I can work hard to bring you many more episodes!
ERIN’S TEA SHOW NOTES
Amoda tea offers something called, monthly tasting boxes. They select three new blends each month and ship it out to you for $15/month. This differs from other tea of the month clubs because it’s not just their own blends they send out, they also include other company’s blends. Their packaging is 100% recyclable (but still cute) and they include a little pamphlet as to why they’ve selected each tea/company. January’s 2nd tea is Pistachio Ice Cream by Butiki teas. Who doesn’t love tea that tastes like ice Cream?!
Pistachio Ice Cream: Organic Green Tea (Mao Jian), Pistachios (roasted, unsalted), Lotus Stamens (doesn’t that sound sexy?) and Natural Flavoring (vegan)
- Use one teaspoon for 6-8 oz of water
- Do NOT use boiling water on green tea. It will burn the leaves. Use 82 degree water–or boil your water and let it rest for 6 minutes to let it cool.
- Steep it no longer than 2 minutes and 30 seconds, if you steep it longer it will bitter (like any green tea)
- It smells nutty and creamy!
Health Benefits: Green tea is known for it’s powerful antioxidants that fight free radicals in your body, plus if you drink this instead of indulging in ice cream, you’ll definitely lose weight.
My Ruling? It’s awesome! It’s really light and refreshing. It’s got a soft creamy taste to it with a hint of nuttiness, I mean who doesn’t love pistachios?!
There is still one more sample in this month’s tasting box to try! And if you LOVE these blends, after you try them, you can always order more from Amodatea.com
You have until January 20th to sign up for February’s taste box! Until next time, “That’s Tea To Me.”
